About the Role
As Web Development Team Lead / Product Owner, you will translate strategic vision into clear, actionable technical execution. You will own and lead the development of solarplaza.com, our international B2B platform for solar energy and energy storage professionals.
You will bridge business objectives and technical execution, ensuring that our platform continues to evolve into a leading destination for:
industry insights
company profiles
events
knowledge sharing
professional networking
In this role, you will:
translate business strategy and customer insights into quarterly roadmaps, epics, and well-defined Jira deliverables
define and prioritise platform features and improvements based on user research, stakeholder input, and business goals
manage team capacity, sprint planning, and day-to-day prioritisation
coordinate development work with external partners, freelancers, and agencies, ensuring clear requirements and high-quality delivery
maintain technical oversight of architecture and code quality across internal and external contributions
As a senior Python/Django developer, you will be expected to:
review and safeguard code quality and technical standards
actively contribute to development when needed (hands-on coding when priorities demand it)
support architectural and technical decision-making
Collaboration is central to your role. You will work closely with the CEO, internal stakeholders, developers, and external partners to shape the future of the platform and directly contribute to our mission: accelerating the global renewable energy transition.

Ownership-Driven – You take responsibility and proactively move initiatives forward.
Collaborative – You communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

KPIs you will be measured by:
Module development: Delivering new platform modules (e.g., forum, job board, review & comment section, press release module, AI integrations) that increase engagement
Data & reporting capabilities: building internal tools for data generation, analytics, and reporting
Platform performance: ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous optimisation
Platform support: maintaining responsiveness to platform-related technical requests
Team effectiveness: measuring performance, engagement, retention, and team satisfaction
Planning & budgeting capacities: accurate scoping, prioritisation, capacity planning, and budget control for web development initiatives
What We’re Looking For in You

You bring:
5–8+ years of experience as a Python/Django Developer, ideally including FastAPI or Flask
Proven expertise in backend architecture and scalable system design

Strong technical skills in Python, Django, PostgreSQL, and Docker
Nice to have: Elasticsearch, Vue.js, ES6, Jira, GitHub Actions

Travel expense compensation, either via an NS-Business Card or a mileage allowance (for distances between 10 km and 50 km one way)
Personal development & wellbeing budget
Regular team events, drinks (borrels), and social activities

We welcome applications from people who recognise themselves in what we are looking for and feel comfortable working in a fast-moving, international environment where they take ownership of both technical execution and product outcomes.
